If your child is around 7 years old and just starting to fall in love with soccer, you’re in the right place!
The early years are the BEST time to build strong soccer habits while keeping the game fun and exciting.
With Anytime Soccer Training, you have everything you need to help your child improve at home — even if you aren’t a soccer coach!
Here’s a simple “soccer homework” guide you can give to your child. These are the very first steps inside the Get Started Section of the program.
🥇 Step 1: Ball Mastery (Start Here!)
These fun videos will help your child get used to touching the ball a lot, which is the most important skill at this age.
- P1: 1,000 Touch Ball Mastery Section One
- P2: 1,000 Touch Ball Mastery Section Two
👉 Your child will practice easy moves like toe taps and tick-tocks to help them get more comfortable with the ball. These drills will also make them move more, which is great for building stamina while having fun.
🥈 Step 2: Wall Passing
A super simple but powerful way to practice passing — no soccer partner needed!
- P1: Wall Passing Section One
- P2: Wall Passing Section Two
👉 Players will kick the ball against a wall and control it when it comes back. This helps your child work on first touch and passing accuracy, all by themselves.
🥉 Step 3: Tight Space Dribbling
This is where the creativity kicks in!
- P1: Ronaldinho Freestyle Drills
👉 Start with the Ronaldinho Freestyle Drills. They are playful and encourage your child to try fun moves, just like their favorite soccer players. Kids LOVE this part.
⭐ Step 4: Juggling (Optional & Fun)
Juggling is like magic for kids! It’s tricky at first, but over time it helps with focus, balance, and coordination. Let your child pick where they want to start.
- P1: Thigh Juggling – Absolute Beginners
- P2: Kick and Catch Juggling
- P3: Intermediate Juggling
- P4: Advanced Juggling
- P5: Juggling Warm-up
👉 Don’t worry if your child struggles here — that’s normal! The goal is just to have fun while they try.
🚀 Step 5: Don’t Forget 1v1 and Tagging Games
Let them play! These games build confidence, speed, and real-game decision-making — all while having a blast.
- P4: Soccer Tagging
- P1: Keeper vs Striker 1v1
👉 Soccer Tagging is just like tag, but with a soccer twist! Kids chase each other while dribbling, trying to tag their opponent’s ball.
👉 In Keeper vs Striker, one player tries to score while the other acts as the goalkeeper. Take turns and make up your own rules — you can even pretend the garage door is the goal!
🎉 Make it fun!
Let your child come up with their own versions of tag or 1v1. Use cones, water bottles, or even shoes as goals. The idea is to let them compete, create, and laugh.
✅ Quick Tips for Parents
- Do these drills with them: Even if you don’t know soccer, showing up and kicking around makes it more fun.
- Keep practices short: 10-20 minutes is plenty for 7-year-olds.
- Celebrate small wins: Did they do 10 toe taps without stopping? That’s a big deal!
- Let them explore the videos: Anytime Soccer Training has over 5,000 follow-along videos so you’ll never run out of ideas.
- No pressure: The goal is fun + lots of touches = steady improvement.
Why It Works
At this age, kids need LOTS of ball touches and positive energy. This program makes sure your child gets both. These simple drills build the foundation they’ll use for years — dribbling, passing, controlling, and loving the game.
